Virgin Blue’s new Check-Mate Mobile Platform

Virgin Blue has launched a comprehensive mobile platform to assist you with your travel needs on the go. We know your time is valuable, so we’ve made it possible to book a flight, manage your booking and check-in for your flights anytime and anywhere.

The Virgin Blue Check-Mate mobile service enables you to control your travel needs with the following features:

• Flight Bookings for Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue flights
• Mobile check-in for domestic flights between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane airports
• Ability to change your Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue flights
• Ability to cancel your Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue flights
• Handy information on airports, baggage, Velocity and The Lounge

The mobile platform will work on any web enabled mobile phone (including iPhone and Android).

We also have a downloadable BlackBerry application that provides more power and functions for BlackBerry users.

Mobile Check-in

Virgin Blue Check-Mate has delivered the first Australian domestic mobile check-in system. If you are flying on a Virgin Blue domestic flight between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane you can now check-in on the fly.

• Guests who are travelling alone with carry-on baggage only can check-in, select your seat and have your 2D barcode sent to your phone.
• Guests who are travelling with others on the same booking and/or have checked-in baggage can check-in on the mobile and select a seat. You can then head to the airport kiosks or bag drop desk to collect your boarding pass.

BlackBerry Application

BlackBerry users can make use of the power of our downloadable application, the first BlackBerry application for an Australian airline.

Virgin Blue has partnered with WorldMate to create a custom version just for you. Once signed up, all you need to do is forward your confirmation emails to trips@worldmate.com and we'll take care of the rest.

WorldMate organizes your itinerary to make sure you have all the information you need at hand. No more stress, getting lost, or being late when things suddenly change while on the road.
